Special criteria for payment cards
- Maestro:
It is NOT possible to offer subscription payment on Maestro cards.
- Visa Electron:
The card can generally only be used in physical commerce, but some issuers allow e-commerce transactions. Even though the card can be used for e-commerce transactions, it is NOT guaranteed that the issuer (bank) will allow subscription payments (recurring payments) with the card. This can lead to a situation where the first transaction is successful but the subsequent transaction(s) are declined. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide information about which Visa Elektron cards allow recurring payments and refer you to the card issuer (bank).
- §1 Membership
A membership is personal and therefore cannot be transferred to, shared with or used by others. Changes in personal data such as name, address, e-mail, telephone number, bank, account number, etc. must be notified immediately to Butcher's Lab. It is the member's responsibility that Butcher's Lab has the member's correct contact information at all times.
- §1a Underage members
If a person is under 18 years of age or underage, membership can only be obtained if a guardian takes out a membership for the person at the guardian's expense. When registering a 'Teens' membership, the guardian must be present. The membership only gives access to training in classes with an instructor.
- §2 Membership card
The membership card must be brought and loaded into the customer computer before training every time, even during training. If a member loses or damages their membership card, it must be reported immediately to Butcher's Lab, which will issue a new card against payment of the price applicable at any time.
- §3 Duration
Payment card agreements are ongoing memberships that continue until terminated by one of the parties in accordance with §8. A cash membership cannot be terminated, but ends automatically when the period paid for expires. For whatever reason, no full or partial refund of prepaid cash memberships will be given.
- §4 Payment
When a membership is created, a payment card agreement is registered and payment is then made for the registration fee and for the period from creation to the first payment via payment card. Thereafter, the monthly payment is automatically deducted from the member's account at the beginning of each calendar month. The Member is responsible for timely payment. Failure to pay on time is considered a breach of contract. By registering payment information and accepting the membership terms, the Member consents to Butcher's Lab storing master data. In addition, consent is given to set up a cash transfer agreement, i.e. that the monthly payment is automatically deducted from your payment card. If the contract is breached, for example by non-payment, Butcher's Lab reserves the right to disclose your personal information to third parties. If Butcher's Lab is obliged to send a payment card, a fee is payable according to Butcher's Lab's current tariffs.
- §5 Late payment
If the current payment for a membership, on a payment card agreement, is not paid at the agreed time, a reminder letter will be sent to the member and a reminder fee will also be charged at the current rate. If the member does not pay within 10 days of the stated due date, Butcher's Lab has the right to terminate the membership without notice, and Butcher's Lab reserves the right to immediately charge the amount for the remainder of the relevant payment period. After payment, the Member is entitled to use Butcher's Lab's facilities until the end of the relevant payment period.
- §5A Non-payment
Non-payment is not considered a valid termination. Withdrawal can only be made in accordance with §8 of the membership terms.
- §6 Price changes
Changes to the price of memberships will be communicated via e-communication no later than one (1) month before the price changes take effect. If the member does not wish to maintain their membership as a result of a price change, the member is entitled to terminate their membership in accordance with the procedure in § 8.
The center offers age-based pricing. Membership will therefore automatically transition to the adult price applicable at any given time when the member turns 30, in accordance with applicable law. This age-based price adjustment is an integral and pre-agreed part of the membership terms and conditions and is not considered a notified general price change.
- §6 Price changes
Price changes will be announced via e-communication no later than the current month, plus 1 month before the price changes take effect. If the member does not wish to maintain their membership as a result of the price changes, the member is entitled to terminate their membership in accordance with the procedure in § 8.
- §7 Suspension period
Membership can be suspended for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months. The start and end dates of the suspension period must be stated at the start of the suspension period. Membership can only be suspended for full months. For each suspension period, a fee is paid according to Butcher's Lab's current tariffs. It is not possible to put a membership on hold during a notice period, and any suspension will be canceled if the membership is terminated. If a membership is terminated while on hold, the membership will be activated during the notice period.
- §7A Termination of contingency period
At the end of the grace period, membership and payment are automatically reactivated.
- §7B Deferral during binding period - Applies specifically to PT memberships.
If the membership is in a lock-in period when the membership is put on hold, the lock-in period will be extended by the number of months of the hold period.
- §8 Termination of memberships
Memberships can be terminated at any time with a notice of current month, plus 1 month. Notice of termination must be sent by e-mail to info@butcherslab.dk The notice is valid from the date of receipt. If there is any doubt as to whether a membership has been terminated, you as a member must be able to prove that the termination has been made correctly. All offer and PT memberships have a minimum commitment period of 3 months.
- §9 Health and injury
All training is at your own risk. All first-time trainers should participate in an intro class/OnRamp course before starting training in regular classes. A member is responsible for being in a state of health that allows participation in activities at Butcher's Lab. Butcher's Lab does not take responsibility for personal injuries to a member as a result of accidents or other visitors' actions or inadequate actions. Otherwise, Danish tort law is followed in this area.
- §10 Valuables
Butcher's Lab recommends not to bring items of value, if this is done it is recommended that these are stored in a locked cabinet during training. Butcher's Lab is not responsible for any loss due to theft or property damage.
- §11 Rules of conduct
The rules of conduct in force at any time, as well as instructions given by Butcher's Labs staff, must always be followed. Violation of this may result in expulsion. Racist or condescending statements will result in immediate expulsion. In special cases, Butcher's Lab may require the presentation of a medical certificate if it is assessed that the training may be harmful to the member's health. Children under the age of 15 are not allowed in training areas without an adult. Clothing and shoes intended for indoor training must always be worn during training.
- §12 Exclusion of member
Butcher's Lab reserves the right to immediately terminate the membership agreement without explanation. In such cases, all unused prepaid membership fees will be refunded. In case of rule violations, e.g. lending a membership card to another person, the member will be excluded without refund of any deposit. Butcher's Lab strongly rejects any form of doping. If possession or abuse of illegal products is found, this is considered a gross violation of the rules. Likewise, tobacco or alcohol may not be consumed in the center or on the center's premises.
- §13 Changes in membership conditions
Butcher's Lab can change the membership conditions with a notice of current month, plus 1 month. Such changes are announced via e-communication. If the member then does not wish to maintain their membership as a result of the changes to the terms and conditions, the member is entitled to terminate their membership according to the procedure in § 8. Butcher's Lab has the right to make customary changes to rules of conduct, class activities, premises, equipment and opening hours.
- §14 Online registration
Online registration is open 24 hours a day on the website, butcherslab.dk. Once registration and payment have been made, the membership is considered delivered.
